About Me
Brian brings four years of investment banking and real estate experience to the team, as well as internet and social media. He spent a year working for FMI’s Investment Banking Group. At FMI he focused on financial analysis and market research of manufacturing and construction companies. After FMI, he took an analyst job with NorthMarq Capital, the largest private real estate investment bank in the US. Underwriting & analyzing nearly $2.5 billion worth of real estate, Brian was promoted to Assistant Vice President – one of the fastest and youngest promotions in the company’s history.
Enchanted with the freedom that entrepreneurism brings, Brian started and runs Office Escapology, a successful blog about and the best practices for entrepreneurs and employees wishing to get out of their office job. Brian also started a successful web-based media company during his college years which he sold for a profit at only 19 years old.
A graduate of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Brian holds an undergraduate degree in Finance and Real Estate as well as a Master of Science in Finance.
He is an adrenaline junkie, stricken with wanderlust, and never says no to an adventure. He’s also a trained Wilderness EMT (to make sure no one gets hurt!).
Investment Banking and Corporate Real Estate Expertise.
International startup experience - I am currently starting up a partnership with several groups in Beijing that will provide educational and travel services to college graduates and recent graduates from the USA.
My Goals
Be able to quit my job and live off of my start-ups (maybe not in that order...) by January, 2010.
***Update***
I have quit my jobs and am currently working on my businesses. Next goal is to get a book written by the end of 2010.
My Defining Moment
Every day in the office! I walk through and see rich, old, fat men that want to leave the office but no longer have energy to do anything else. What a terrible way to live life.
Who I'm looking to meet
Jumped from the corporate ship, started something new, and was he was good at it and happy while doing so.
