Moments of Opportunity

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

Therefore people tend to focus only on their strengths, avoiding their weaknesses at all cost. One reason people avoid their weaknesses is because they are no good at those certain skills. Another reason is because they have not yet recognized their weaknesses.

Its good to recognize your weaknesses so you can improve on them and turn them into strengths. However, the other day I was introduced to an unique concept of calling your weaknesses, moments of op… Continue

Change is Constant

Benjamin Franklin once said, “When you’re finished changing, you’re finished.”

Change occurs in the economy, workplace, and in our personal lives. Even though we know change is going to happen people choose to resist it.

The reasons people resist change

People don't like change
Fear of the unknown
Fear of failure
Past experiences created boundaries, making people unable grow

You can't resist what is going to happen, so the best thing to do is to just go with it by being prepared, always stay… Continue

Leaders vs. Managers

In my last post I defined a leader. A leader is a person that people follow, a person that is in charge of other people, and a person that creates a movement.

Managers in the other-hand are different. Leaders and managers are mistaken as being the same, however there are two distinct differences, leaders think outside the box when managers follow the guidelines.

Leaders
Focus on the future
Leads others to new horizons

Managers
Focus on the present

Define a Leader

Since the beginning of time leadership has played a vital role in businesses, communities, and countries. A leader is a person that people follow, a person that is in charge of other people, and a person that creates a movement.

Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, is a leader. He leads a team of innovative people to create computers, mp3 players, and software with the world’s most groundbreaking technology.

Laura Sampson, a city mayor, is a leader. She leads members of a city council to help make her co… Continue

What is your pledge?

What are you going to do to make this nation a better place?

Today we are in a down economy, an economy that is struggling. However, I don't look at it as a struggle, I look at it as an opportunity. An opportunity to work harder, an opportunity to become responsible, an opportunity to make new jobs, an opportunity to learn how to operate in a down market, an opportunity to make negative, to positive.

Third world countries are struggling. Lack of water, food, and very little jobs.

We as a nati… Continue

Tony,

Good luck my man! Def keep me posted on your progress with both. I am attempting to become more capable in the Twitter game and also am trying to learn more about blogging and want to start my own blog soon.

What are your thoughts on blogging? How did you start? What works for you? What's your best advice for me to prepare myself to begin blogging, and where should I start?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Going to check out your blog and look forward to keepin in touch man.
