I should be in bed right now. Apparently, it’s what normal people do when they have bronchitis. Instead, I’m up building nifty things for clients, learning new things, and connecting with some really great people. Someone should tell this silly virus that I’m not normal, anyway.
It’s been nearly two weeks since my last post, where I reflected on my goals for the New Year. In the time since then, I’ve exploded with creativity, formed new ideas, and began to start to follow through on one of my major goals - travelling more - and boy, am I glad that I did. I had the wonderful opportunity to take a road trip to Montreal with some guys I went to college with.
For anyone that has never been there, you’ll probably still know that Montreal has a reputation for being party central. That’s true, I can’t deny it, the city is a blast. But what you don’t hear so often is how beautiful the city is. Maybe my point of view is biased, being that I love cities in general. In fact, it probably is. But what it really comes down to is that my trip this past weekend really, truly solidified something in my mind for me: that intentionally surrounding yourself with opportunity and opening your eyes and mind to such opportunity is one of the most important things a human being can ever do.
It helps us leave our comfort zone. It helps us grow, evolve, and enables us to accomplish the things we want in our lives. With that in mind, I’d like to pose this question to the world in general:
Are you where you want to be? If not, do you feel like you’re on your way? What are you doing to open yourself to the many opportunities in life?
